Yay, Laurence has been able to start putting the trusses up! He's done the front and back of the dining room, as you can see here. The area under the truss closest to us will be a big sliding glass door. You can see the big east-facing window to the right of the door area. And there's also a big window to the left, which will look into the open-plan kitchen.
Laurence has spent most of the week squaring the frames, and so the place is full of diagnonal temporary propping. It is a bit of a maze at the moment because of that!
The second photo is that view down the passage (this time from the window back toward the master bedroom), but now showing all of the propping that has been put up.
He has also put up part of the end wall of the lounge room. That bottom bit of the wall isn't missing - it will be a window so that the wall appears to "float" above the floor. It's amazing how even putting up part of that wall has changed the volume of the room.
They've also put up the scaffolding across the front of the house, which makes it look huge! The architect advises that this won't come down until the windows are in and the cladding is on.
